Hello everyone!
First of all, thanks for all of the positive things you've said about Why Slay Dragons when you could be FISHING! Folks are already getting their books and are loving it! I'm so happy that we were able to finish a book along with a bunch of other great rewards - and all with your help!
So it's time to do it again!
Launching next Tuesday, August 20th, at 1pm EST - is our Backerkit for Fiendish Forge!
Fiendish Forge is going to be a 320+ page book - compatible with 5e systems (2014/2024) - all about big boss fights and monstrous items. As a love letter to games like Monster Hunter, it'll feature creature material gathering rulesets and crafting rules! All modular - so you can make these systems more accessible or more complex - depending on what your table is looking for!
We're also including some great rewards, including new dice sets and accessories from Fanroll!

August 2024 - Shipping/Fulfillment has begun!!

Howdy everyone,
I'm happy to report that everything has arrived at our fulfillment center, and we're getting ready to ship to you all!
We did not collect duties from our international customers (growing pains of learning about shipping) - so Io Publishing will be covering the duty costs to ensure you guys get what you backed for!
We're hoping our US customers should be getting their products over the next couple of weeks, with everyone else in the world receiving their products through the next month.
If you have not filled your Backerkit Survery, or you have not yet been charged for shipping, you order cannot be fulfilled.
Check and see if you've been charged for shipping. We still have a few declined cards, so check your e-mail from Backerkit (Title: Your payment has failed for Why Slay Dragons : When You COud Be Fishing (TTRPG 5e Book). Please update!) - and update your payment method so we can collect shipping.
Once again, I want to thank everyone for backing our first project. This has been quite the learning process, and we are super excited to be entering the publishing sphere.

Hello everyone,
Happy July! I wanted to let you know where we were at with shipping.
Preorder/Shipping Charges
In June, we started charging everyone's cards on file who had filled out a survey. I'm happy to report we've charged for most of you, with a handful of folks we are still trying to collect funding from. As a friendly reminder, if we are unable to charge your cards for shipping, we will be unable to ship your products, so make sure everything is updated! If you need assistance, feel free to message me.

Shipping Updates
We are still on track to have everything shipped out in July/August!
Here are some more detailed information:
Dice Sets/Dice Tray: We've just received word that this has just arrived in the US, and we're hoping it will be over at Fanroll next week! From there, we will ship these products to our Fulfillment Center.
Hardcover Books: We were informed there was a slight delay at one of the ports en route to the US, and currently scheduled to arrive in the US at the end of July. We are being told that from there it should arrive in our Fulfillment Center in a couple of days from then - but our manufacturer believes that sounds too fast for Customs, so we're estimating the books will be arriving at our Fulfillment Center no later than August 5th. We apologize for the delay.
Once everything arrives in our Fulfillment Center, we believe we can ship everyone's products within a week. Everyone should be receiving one shipment. According to this timetable, everything should be shipped out by August 12th. From there, you should receive your product within the month, depending on where you are in the world.
We're almost there! Thank you again for making our first product a reality.
Our Next Project: Fiendish Forge!
Our next project - Fiendish Forge - will go live on August 20th! This will be our first Monster Manual that focuses on quality over quantity - fully illustrated scenes for each of our creatures, regional effects, detailed stat blocks with new custom mechanics, a new organization tab for creatures in groups, a quest for every creature, a material gatherable list (with prices), and magic items themed off of each creature!
We already have over 1,000 sign-ups, and we will release our Preview PDF this month to everyone who signs up!
