Hello everyone,
Now that we are wrapping up production and getting ready to freight our product, its time to prepare for shipping!
With that, we will be locking addresses, charging for preorders, and collecting shipping June 1st.
We will be shipping out our products in July/August - so please make sure your addresses are set to where you will be during those months.

To give everyone a heads-up, here is what we are charging folks in countries where we have the most customers. If you'd like a precise number for June 1st, feel free to message me, and I will look it up for you. I'm happy to report we are within the estimate we gave last year.
These shipping rates reflect individuals who just purchased the book. If you have more physical items, your shipping rates may be higher if outside the USA. If you got less - along with items that weigh less, your shipping rates may be lower.
Book Shipping Rates ($USD)
- USA: $20 (this is the most you will be charged, even if you got more than a book)
- Canada: $30
- Great Britain: $30
- Australia: $45
- Germany: $30
- Netherlands: $40

Hello everyone!
With May wrapping up, I wanted to let you know where we are with our production of physical products for Why Slay Dragons when you could be FISHING. I'm happy to report that we are about to finalize production on everything, and officially have a fulfillment partner who will be handling the shipment of everyone's products! Because of this, I can let you guys know when everything is happening (including the charging of shipping and the charging of preordered products from Backerkit.
- Starting June 1st, we will be charging everyone for any physical preorders they've made on Backerkit and closing the pre-order store down, in which you won't have another opportunity to pre-order the book at the discounted rate. Upon release, the following prices will increase:
- Physical Book's cost will go up from $50 to $60.
- Book/PDF Bundle cost will go up from $60 to $70.
- Barring unforeseen circumstances, we hope everything will arrive at our Fulfillment partner in July. If that is the case, we hope you will have products in hand by July/August,assuming no shipping issues or complications.

May 2024 Update - Shipping ETAs and Fiendish Forge

Hello everyone,
I hope you all are doing well - and for those that have gotten the PDF - enjoying Why Slay Dragons when you could be FISHING.
Excited to report that a couple of weeks ago, we gave our final approval to get the physical books of Why Slay Dragons when you could be FISHING underway! This was after a thorough back-and-forth process, including receiving a sample book from the factory - which I'm pleased to say looks SPECTACULAR.
We've been informed the books should be finished by the end of May. With current freight estimates, we expect the books to arrive at our fulfillment center by July when they begin shipping out all the physical rewards to everyone. Our current estimate is July/August for it to arrive at you all. With this, we will be charging for any preorders made in Backerkit and collecting shipping in July. We hope to understand the shipping climate better in July as we finalize things with our fulfillment partners.
The pins and prints are already complete; we are just waiting for the books to be finished before shipping them all out simultaneously. The dice set, megad20, and dice tray from Fanroll will also be complete in May, but we plan on shipping everything out simultaneously to save you shipping costs. I've had a chance to handle all of these in one way or another (I've seen the sample dice set dice) - and everything came out spectacularly.
I understand this is a bit later than the original estimate, but much of this was a learning aspect from my side. There was plenty of back and forth - making sure the book was the best quality - along with corrections from moving a digital asset into physical form. However, this was more than getting a book produced - this was setting up an infrastructure so that future projects would be more efficiently made with smoother production times.
I can say, though, that the wait will be worth it - this book looks fantastic - and I can't wait for you all to have it in your hands soon. Ultimately, we will always side with what I've said a few times now. We want it done right, not hastily. Where we can, we will always choose quality over speed.
As for Fiendish Forge- we were hoping to start crowdfunding in Backerkit in June, but with the freight delays from the factory - we will be holding back - more than likely until August/September. Ultimately, I want to ensure that we have all of our physical products sent out to you before starting another crowdfunding project - especially with our first book. I want you to know how much I value every one of our backers and pre-order support - there would be no book if it weren't for you, and I'm incredibly proud of what we made.
If you still have not received your PDF of Why Slay Dragons when you could be FISHING - and you backed at a PDF level - feel free to message me, and I will look into the issue. More than likely, it is because you have made physical preorders on Backerkit, which prevents the PDF from being sent out - but there could also be other reasons.
